I like nice things, like fur. And leather. And normal things, like lipstick. And espresso. And wine.

Connecticut living. I am one of the lucky few who do for a living what they love. Breathe, drink, and live social media & advertising.

You can follow my every move throughout the day via Twitter @maebergan and Instagram. I take mirror photos of my outfits daily. I am not ashamed. I am an addict.

The views expressed on this blog are my own.

Think “Call Me Maybe” will be the song of the summer? You may be right. But we are totally behind dark-horse candidate “I Love It,” by Icona Pop.

Chris Richards ponders both songs, and other summer contenders, here.

Wait, this is amazing.  I expect nothing less from you, Meg Burns.

I’m a sucker for throwing holiday parties.  My menu must be perfect.  And by menu, I mean cocktail menu.
This is the winning cocktail for my Memorial Day party by the pool on Sunday.  I win, you win, we all win.

I have realized my wardrobe consists of 3 things:

  1. Blazers/Jackets
  2. Skinny Pants/Jeans
  3. Silk Blouses

Different colors, different patterns, rotate.

Mae is made of honey, copper, and attention. With a dash of Wikipedia.

Okay.

This is Meg.  Today I had to say goodbye to her after 2 years (feels like 22) of her mentoring and coaching me on everything I know.  And when I say everything, I mean everything.  From manicures to social media metrics to getting me my job, she’s been more than an older alumni from my sorority, but actually like a big sister I never had.
Thank you, Meg for teaching me your (slightly insane) ways and for always looking out for me, as an intern, and then co-worker, and friend.  I also know that you matter in my life because you made me emotional today, which happens once every 10 years.  So that’s big.
I know you’re not like, dead, which is how I’m acting, but the fact that I can’t walk into your office and help you decide which bag to order offline makes ME want to die.
I know you’re going to do amazing things, obviously, and I wish you nothing but the best in the city.  You deserve everything.
P.s. this is totally my retaliation for putting my photo on your blog.

Marina and the Diamonds- Lies (Acoustic)

This is what I’ll most likely be listening about 10 times a day for the next month.

Nothing but love for Marina, always and forever.
